The Linden Medical Group
The doctors and staff at Linden Medical Group surgery in Nottingham are committed to providing high quality and safe primary healthcare to our practice population within a learning environment.
We run many clinics for the management of chronic diseases and offer a wide variety of other medical services including antenatal and postnatal care, childhood vaccinations and well-person check-ups.
ONLINE APPOINTMENT BOOKING
Please note we have switched our online appointment booking back on. If you have access to online services you will be able to book appointments with the GP's.
The appointments you can book are face to face appointments.
We ask that when you book an appointment, you state, in the notes, a brief reason for the appointment, this helps us to make sure that you have made an appointment with the correct healthcare professional.
Whilst you are on the online booking portal, please can you check to make sure that your contact details are all up to date too?
Please be advised that when calling the practice to book an appointment the receptionist will ask some questions. This is to, quickly, triage your call and make sure your health concern is dealt with by the most appropriate health care professional.
Our receptionists are trained to ask these questions and do so at the request of the GP's.
The practice has a multi-disciplinary team and a GP is not always the most appropriate person to see.
Depending on your health concern, you may be signposted to a pharmacy, clinical pharmacist, nurse, mental health practitioner or physiotherapist.
Please rest assured that our reception team are not making any assumptions about you nor are they making any kind of clinical decisions.
They will direct you to the most appropriate health care professional and add a note to your appointment to detail the issue/health concern, this ensures the clinician can manage their lists appropriately.
Our reception and admin staff are bound by the same level of confidentiality as the GP's and all breaches of confidentiality are taken very very seriously and dealt with appropriately.
We have noticed a sharp increase in the number of patients calling asking for a prescription.
Please note we DO NOT take prescriptions requests over the telephone.
You can request your medications online via SystmOnline or NHS App or you can drop off a paper request into the box at the surgery.

“The average pay for GPs working in the Linden Medical Group in the last financial year was £76,507 before tax and national insurance. This is for 3 full-time GPs and 3 part-time GPs who worked in the practice for more than six months
It should be noted that the prescribed method for calculating earnings is potentially misleading because it takes no account of how much time doctors spend working in the practice, it should not be used to form any judgment about GP earnings, nor to make a comparison with any other practice.
In view of the fact that there are few hard and fast guidelines in place, we must issue a disclaimer against any actions which may or may not be taken with regard to the publication of this information.”
